BOTIKA SA BARANGAY OUTLETS

In June 2006, the 6 hinterland and 2 midland barangays were given the priority to operate BOTIKA SA BARANGAY due to the fact that they have a difficulty accessing basic commodities to include medicines due to geographical location & socio-economic conditions of the family.

In March 2008, the services of Botika sa Barangay were distributed to all coastal barangays. There was a training for Botika Operators as a prerequisite to open an outlet. In April 2008, the outlets were formally opened to serve the public.
